IMS 2013 was held in Seattle, WA, (USA), June 2-7, 2013.
MTT Technical Committee 17 on HF, VHF, and UHF Technology sponsored (co-spondored) the following IMS sessions and workshops in Seattle.
WORKSHOPS AND SHORT COURSES
Workshop WFA "Multi-Octave High Efficiency, High Linearity High Power Amplifiers" with Chair John Walker and Co-Chair Allen Katz on Friday.
TECHNICAL SESSION
TU3H: HF, VHF and UHF Power Amplifiers and Applications.
This session included presentations establishing new state of the art performance for wideband 50 to 500 MHz and 1.35 GHz power amplifiers as well as multiharmnonic tuned Class E amplifiers. A novel DC to DC Class E modulator and electrothermal modeling of RF PIN diode switches were presented.

SOCIAL EVENTS
Ham Radio Social
All radio amateurs and IMS attendants to this event are invited to attend the annual ham radio social. This event provided an opportunity to discuss issues and activities related to amateur radio in a very informal atmosphere while enjoying a buffet and open bar.
