Frederick H. Raab is Chief Engineer and Owner of GMRR, a consulting
firm which he founded in 1980.
He received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Iowa State University in 1968, 1970, and 1972.
Dr. Raab is coauthor of Solid State Radio Engineering and over eighty
technical papers, has been issued seven patents, and was Program Chairman of
RF Expo East '90.
In 1995, he received ISU's Professional Achievement Citation in Engineering.
His professional activities include RF power amplifiers, radio transmitters, and radio-communication/navigation systems.
He is a member of IEEE, HKN, Sigma Xi, AOC, AFCEA, RCA, and ION, and founded
MTT Technical Committee 17 in 1997.
"Fritz" is extra-class amateur-radio operator W1FR, licensed since 1961.
