From the Editor: MTT Publications
From the editor's desk, welcome to the July issue of the IEEE MTT-S e-newsletter; the official monthly e-newsletter for the MTT-S members.
Do you know of all the publications offered by the MTT society? MTT's award winning Microwave Magazine is a good starting point to read about what going on in and around the society. MTT-S works continually to address new development areas; the new IEEE Trans. on Terahertz Science & Technology. So point your browser to the MTT-S Publications page and find out more about what MTT-S offers.

Amendment to MTT-S Constitution and Bylaws
During the June meeting of the MTT-S Administrative Committee, nine motions pertaining to amendments to the MTT-S Constitution and Bylaws were approved by the Administrative Committee members. These proposed amendments are listed posted on the MTT website.
Ratification requires that the proposed amendments be publicized in a Society publication with notice that they go into effect unless 10 percent of the Society members object within 30 days. If you are in agreement with these proposed changes no action on your part is needed.

Power amplifiers (PAs) are important building blocks in military and commercial wireless communication devices and radar. As signal modulation schemes of the carrier become increasingly spectrally efficient, the requirements on the PA become difficult. The IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques invites manuscript submissions for a special issue on PAs.

Call for Papers: IEEE Radio Wireless Week 2012
The 2012 IEEE Radio and Wireless Symposium (RWS2012) will be held during the week of 15 January, 2012 in Santa Clara, CA, USA. This year, a new demo track will be held to provide an interactive
forum for hands-on demonstration of latest wireless experiments and innovations. As with previous years, RWS2012 and SiRF2012 will continue to hold joint sessions. Three topical conferences held in parallel provides more focused sessions in the areas of Power Amplifiers for Wireless and Radio Applications (PAWR), Biomedical Wireless Technologies and Sensing Systems (BioWireleSS), and Wireless Sensors and Sensor Networks (WiSNet). More information is available through RWW2012 website at
http://www.radiowirelessweek.org/.
Submission deadline: 8 July, 2011.
Call for Papers: IEEE International Symposium on Radio-Frequency Integration Technology
Having been successfully held in Singapore since 2005, the IEEE International Symposium on Radio-Frequency Integration Technology http://www.ieee-rfit.org will start rotating around Region 10 and will be held in Beijing this year. RFIT is a small yet interdisciplinary forum for microwave and microelectronics technologies. It is co-sponsored by Tsinghua University, the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society, and the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Chapters in Beijing and Singapore. This year’s theme is RF Integration for Health Care and Sustainable Environment. Accepted papers will appear in IEEE Xplore and the Engineering Index. The deadline for manuscript submission is August 1, 2011.
